Ten Reasons People Fail 1. No Goals -- People with Goals can go further in five years than most people can go in a lifetime. After all Goals are dreams with a deadline. When you have goals, are absolutely committed to achieving them, set a timeline, and know why you want them, you should be thoroughly inspired and motivated to achieve them. 2. Lack of Planning -- People don't plan to fail they fail to plan. Planning is important, as long as you are not planning when you should be executing. The key to successful planning is to plan both work and time. Plan, do, and review. Write your plan, execute, and review to make sure it is working. 3. Fear of Change – If you keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you have been getting. If you want something different you have to do something different. 4. Unfocused/No Direction is wasted energy. Achieving your goals and gaining personal power begins with focus. What you focus on is what you will achieve. 5. Lack of Preparation -- equals missed opportunity. Prepare even when there is no sign of an opportunity in sight. 6. Wrong Associations -- You will be worth the sum total of the combined income of your 5 closest friends. Do you need some new friends. 7. Lack of Commitment -- If we don't know where we are going any road will take us there. Commitment eliminates uncertainty. 8. Unwilling to take risks -- Nothing risked. Nothing gained. To be effective you must enhance your ability to take risks rationally and appropriately. 9. Depending on Luck -- Luck happens when preparedness meets opportunity. The more prepared you are the luckier you get. 10. Procrastination -- "Someday I'll..." Procrastination robs you of your goals, dreams, and valuable time. Don’t put off what you can do NOW. No one has to be a failure in life. Goal Setting and proper Planning give our life direction. Knowing where we are going keep us Focused and Committed. Being focused and committed keep us Moving in the Right Direction and Associating with the Right People. Right associations help us to understand there is no such thing as luck but there are Calculated Risks and Preparation necessary for a successful life. |
